Dear Kindergarten Parents and friends,
Hope your summer is going well and that you are managing to stay cool. Summer time is a time for relaxing, enjoying the out of doors (weather permitting), and spending time with family and friends.
Some of my favorite things in summer are watching firework displays, taking an occasional nap, and lunching with friends and doing a little reading. The 4th of July usually marks the half way point in the Summer and let's you know it won't be long before the school displays are going up and before long you'll be picking out that new lunch bag and back pack along with all the fun supplies. Make sure that you are doing some reading and writing this summer so you'll be ready for your new teacher, showing her/him how smart you are and ready for First grade.
I was looking over pictures of our last day of school together and thinking about how much fun we had together. Your smiling faces made me smile also. Thank you for all the cards, gifts and memories you shared with me during our last days together they made me feel very special. You may see me at Long next year sharing the Black History museum. Enjoy the rest of your summer, hope to see you around!
