Math "Looking for patterns"
We are working on the Patterning Unit in Math. This is always a popular unit and has carry over as we are learning beginning reading skills. We will make rhythm patterns, people patterns, we'll draw patterns and create patterns with Math manipulatives. We work in small and large groups. Look at how fast we're learning!! Encourage your child to show you patterns either by telling you a pattern or drawing one. Later on we'll identify patterns in words and patterns in sentences. Look for patterns all around. Let your Kindergartner create some patterns with things around the house, cereal, buttons, colored paper clips, stickers, have fun with patterns.
