Our third grade buddies came for a fun activity in the history museum. We read the story "Henry's Freedom Box". This is an interesting book about How a former slave, Henry Brown, escaped to freedom. Have your Kindergartner share the tale of this brave American with you. Afterwards we shared an activity and made boxes, and characters to retell the story. Look for this project in a hallway near you soon. (may be closer to the 3rd grade classrooms)
