Kindergartners learned about Chinese New Year and how a different culture celebrates their New Year, with special clothes to ward off evil spirits, special food and ceremonies, family gatherings, gifts and parades. We practiced using chopsticks and picked up cereal and pretend noodles, wrote Chinese characters, and read a story about Chinese New Year. Gung Hey Fat Choy! (that means Happy New Year)
