Parent /Teacher conferences...that's a wrap!

Thank you so very much for participating in our first Parent/Teacher conference of the school year. I am pleased to report that all conferences went well and I so enjoyed learning more about your child and sharing their progress. It makes a huge difference when parents are active in their child's learning. Just as my voice comes into your homes with what they've learned each day, your voices are echoed in the classroom. I can tell who has been talking about behavior at home and who has been working on numbers and letters and name writing. Working together your child can have the very best learning experience. Reminders:

On a daily basis remind your child that you expect them to work hard every day and be good listeners. Redirect their talking to an appropriate time, (recess, snack, lunch, afternoon choice time, on the school bus etc)

Encourage your child to use their words to ask for things and to make friends. One of our rules is "Keep your hands and feet to yourself."

"Slow and steady wins the race." Tell your child that when they work slowly and carefully then they can do their very best work.

Work on self help skills, tieing shoes, buttoning jackets, folding their paint shirts and rest towels.

When paracticing their name, have your child write first letter capital and the rest lower case.
