School Behavior ...we need some reminders

It is around this time of the school year that students begin to get very comfortable in their surroundings and behaviors start to show up, good and negative. It is easy to dismiss behaviors as "due to the weather" or "the upcoming holidays" or "change in routines." While all of these may contribute to misbehavior in the classroom, they are disruptive to learning for your child and their classmates. Please talk with your child about your expectations for daily good behavior, being respectful of the teacher and of others, listening during instruction time and keeping hands and feet to themselves. Our class is a chatty one, the principal has made a visit to speak with our class already this school year. The recess building aides are experiencing, more than usual, children not listening and following rules for sliding, chasing and rough play on the playground. Starting this week, Nov. 28th, I will return to using our Roar notes to keep you informed about your child's behavior. Working together I hope that we can encourage your child to be at his best each school day.
