Upcoming Attractions in November

I have the scoop on the Field trip to Mastodon State Park....

Field trip to Mastodon State Park
Cost $5.00 per child
There is a movie, a talk with a park ranger/docent, and museum visit
We are scheduled from 1:00-2:30 (departing at 12:25 and returning by 3:00)

There will be regularly scheduled school activities in the morning with block time and lunch and then we'll depart shortly after lunch.
This field trip does not require a lot of parental supervision, but some parent volunteers will be helpful. (Other classes are taking 2-4 parents) Please let me know if you are interested in attending.

You will receive 2 homework assignments for your child to do. The first is a fun turkey project. We read a story today that goes along with the project and students were excited to take their work home and come up with creative ways to decorate their turkeys. Parents can be helpers but as much as you can, let children create their own work of heart.

The second assignment is to send in a pillow case to be used for a native American costume that we will be creating. Pillow cases can be very worn. Please send only plain white, egg shell or tan colored cases. Cotton cases work best. If you're a Thrift store / Goodwill shopper, I have gotten my best pillow cases from there for less than a dollar.

Please dress your children for the chilly weather, we like to go out to recess as much as we can and I like our children to be as healthy as they can be.
